Ingredients
1 Kg. Fresh Water Fish
3 tbsp. Oil
Few Curry Leaves
1 Drumstick cut
2 tbsp. Fish masala powder or Sambar powder
Salt to taste
2 to 3 cups Water
- For Masala
1 Big Onion
10 to 15 Garlic
1/2 inch Ginger
1/2 cup Fresh Coconut
Tamarind (Small lemon size)
2 Green Chilies
1/8 tsp Turmeric Powder
Directions
- Firstly, clean fish and keep it aside.
- For Masala: heat a pan and add in oil, garlic, ginger, green chilies, and onion. Sauté till the onions becomes translucent. Then allow it to cool down and transfer it into a mixer jar.
- Further, add in fresh coconut, turmeric powder, tamarind. And grind it into smooth paste. Then keep it aside.
- Now heat a pan and add in oil, sliced big onion, and fresh cut drumsticks. Sauté for 2 minutes in low flame.
- Later add in ground masala paste, required water and red chili powder or sambar powder or Fish masala powder. Then give a mix.
- Salt to taste.
- Close the lid and allow it to cook for 20 to 25 minutes in low flame.
- Finally, add in fresh curry leaves and switch off the flame.
- Now the tasty Drumstick Fish Curry is ready to serve.
