Mushroom Masala Gravy

Mushroom Masala gravy is a simple and tasty hotel-style Indian gravy made with fresh mushrooms, capsicums, and spices. These white button mushrooms are cooked along with the onion, tomato and spice based gravy.

It can be served as an accomplishment with chapati, poori, dosa, paratha, roti, or any flavored rice like jeera rice, coconut rice, ghee rice, and peas pulav.

While for thickening you can add nut pastes like cashew nut paste, almond paste, cornstarch, or even we can add poppy seeds paste, and roasted chana dal paste.

How to make Mushroom Masala Gravy:

Firstly, take a mixing bowl and add in cleaned white botton mushrooms, capsicum, onions, thick curd, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, kashmiri chili powder, salt to taste.

  • For Marination
  • 200 grams White Button Mushroom

  • 1 Medium Onion cut

  • 1 Capsicum

  • 1/4 cup Thick Curd

  • 1 tbsp. Red Chili powder (as per your spice level)

  • 1 tbsp. Coriander powder

  • 1 tsp Garam masala powder

  • 1 tsp Kashmiri chili powder

  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/2 cup Water

  • For Gravy
  • 1/4 cup Oil or butter

  • 1/2 inch Cinnamon

  • 1 Clove

  • 1 tsp Fennel seeds

  • 1 Bay leaf

  • 1/2 cup Onion paste

  • 1/2 cup Tomato paste

  • 1 tbsp. Ginger garlic paste

  • 1/2 tsp Sugar(optional)

  • 1 tbsp. Kasurimethi
