Chicken Gravy with Coconut Milk | Kerala Style is a delicious gravy or curry recipe with step by step pictures and instructions are given below. It is one of the simplest and tastiest chicken gravy recipe, made with flavorful spices and fresh coconut milk.
It goes well with rice, chapati, poori, dosa, idly, paratha, ragi ball. It is beginners chicken curry recipe.
Ingredients:
Chicken, onions, curry leaves, coconut milk, green chilies, red chili powder, crushed garlic pods, oil, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, pepper powder, salt to taste, water as required, chopped coriander leaves for garnishing, mint leaves.
Methods:
- Firstly heat a pan and add in oil, crushed garlic, curry leaves. Saute till the garlic turns light brown or crispy.
- Then add in cut onions, green chilies. Saute till the onions becomes soft and translucent.
- Now add in chicken, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, cumin powder, pepper powder, salt to taste, water as required.
- Once the chicken is nice coated and cooked with the spice powders, at the end add in coconut milk.
- Allow it boil for another 5 minutes and switch off the flame.
- Finally garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice, chapati, dosa, ragi ball.

- Mixer jar for grinding coconut and extracting milk
- 500 Kg Chicken pieces
- 1 Big Onions

- ⅛ tsp Turmeric powder

- ¾ cup Coconut Milk
- 2 cup Water
- Salt to taste
