Bansi Rava Upma or Uppittu
Bansi Rava Upma or Uppittu is a healthy and tasty breakfast recipe. It is one of the Karnataka special recipe.
- Pan
- 1 cup Bansi rava
- 3 tbsp Oil
- ¼ tsp Mustard seeds and cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Urad dal and Channa dal
- 4 Green chilies or Red chilies
- 1 tbsp Peanuts
- 2 string Curry leaves
- 1 big Onion
- ¼ tsp Ginger garlic paste
- ⅛ tsp Turmeric powder
- Pinch of hing
- ½ cup Carrot
- ¼ cup Capsicum
- ¼ cup Beans
- ¼ cup Chow chow
- 1 Chopped Tomato
- 3 cups Water
- Salt as per taste

Firstly dry roast rava till slightly golden brown. Then keep it aside.

Now again heat a pan and add in oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, channa dal, peanuts, turmeric powder, curry leaves, hing, chopped onions. Fry for one minute.

The add in chopped vegetables, tomatoes and cook till the vegetables are 80 percent cooked.

Then add in required water, salt to taste, grated coconut, chopped coriander leaves. And allow it to boil.

Later add in roasted rava slowly and keep stirring continuously without forming lumps. And close the lid and cook for 5 to 7 minutes in low flame.

Finally the bansi rava upma is ready to serve.
