Ingredients
Horse gram 1 cup
Oil 2 tbsp.
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
Chana dal 1 tbsp.
Urad dal 1/2 tsp
Garlic 6 to 8 chopped
Dry red chilies 3 to 4
Few curry leaves
Onion 1 chopped
Sambar powder 1 tsp (optional)
Salt to taste
Grated fresh coconut 1/4 cup
Directions
- Firstly rinse and soak Horse gram overnight or 4 to 6 hours.
- Pressure cook horse gram for 3 whistles and keep it aside.
- Heat a pan, add in mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, chopped garlic and dry red chilies.
- Add chopped onions, curry leaves, salt to taste and sambar powder(optional).
- Further, add in cooked horse gram and grated coconut, give a mix. Close the lid and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes under low flame. Finally, healthy and tasty horse gram sundal is ready to serve.
