Vegetable Biryani

Is a very popular, healthy and traditional rice recipe with step by step pictures, instructions and videos are given below, hope you all like it. Vegetable biryani also known as vegetable biryani, it is an aromatic rice dish made with basmati rice, spices and variety of vegetables and even we can add in paneer, bread slices, mushroom, soya chunks. Veg biryani is made up of vegetables like beans, carrots, knol khol, peas, potatoes, capsicum, cauliflower, double beans, tomatoes, onions, ginger garlic, green chilies etc. are cooked with basmati rice and spices to create the flavorful rice recipe called vegetable biryani.

So, vegetable biryani goes well with onion raita, cucumber raita, gravies, curries.

Ingredients:

Basmati rice, oil/ghee, bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, fennel seeds, onion, ginger, garlic, green chilies, tomatoes, mint leaves, coriander leaves, vegetables likes: carrots, beans, cauliflow, knol khol, water as required, salt to taste, turmeric powder, garam masala powder.

 

Methods:

How to make Vegetable Biryani | Veg Biryani:

  1. Heat a pan and add in oil, fennel seeds, bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, onion. Saute till the onions becomes brown and then add in ginger garlic and green chili paste.
  2. Saute till the raw smell goes away completely.
  3. Then add in tomato and mint, coriander leaves paste. Give a mix and saute for 3 minutes or till the raw smell goes away.
  4. Then add in cut vegetables, salt to taste.
  5. Give a mix. Then close the lid and allow it cook till the vegetables are 60 to 70 percent cooked.
  6. Add in required water and allow it boil. At this stage add in salt if required.
  7. Add in soaked basmati rice and then close the lid and allow it to cook for 10 minutes in low flame. Later dum cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
  8. Finally healthy and tasty vegetable biryani is ready to serve.

  • Deep large pan
  • Mixer jar
  • 250 grams Basmati rice
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1 big Sliced onion
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 3 Cloves
  • 1 inch Cinnamon
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 2 small Tomatoes
  • 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 3 Green chilies
  • ⅓ cup Mint and coriander leaves
  • ⅛ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 500 grams Water
