Mix Vegetable Palya/Poriyal

Mixed Vegetable Poriyal or Palya is one of the healthy and tasty side dish recipe with step by step pictures, instructions and videos are available below, hope you all like it and useful too. It is one of the most delicious and healthy recipe. It goes well with sambar rice, rasam rice and chapati. Whenever I prepare Spinach samber I usually try to prepare this recipe as side dish, as it goes well with that. Only cutting the vegetable is the time consuming work but cooking it takes 20 to minutes.

Ingredients:

Oil, cumin seeds, onion, tomato, curry leaves, potato, brinjal, cauliflower, green peas, sambar powder, turmeric powder, hing, coriander leaves for garnishing.

Methods:

How to make Mixed Vegetable Poriyal | Vegetable Palya:

  1. Firstly heat a pan and add in oil, cumin seeds, allow it to splutter.
  2. Then add in onion, tomato and curry leaves. Saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Then add in turmeric powder, hing and salt to taste.
  4. Then add in cut potatoes. Give a mix and allow it to cook for 5 minutes, if required add 1/2 cup water to cook
  5. Then add in brinjal, cauliflower. Give a mix.
  6. Then add in frozen peas. If you add adding fresh peas you need to add it at the beginning itself.
  7. Then add in sambar powder and give a mix.
  8. Then add in water as required to cook the vegetables.
  9. Close the lid and allow it cook. It make take 10 to 15 minutes.
  10. Finally the Mixed vegetable is ready to serve.
