Spicy Taro Root Chips

Spicy Taro Root Chips is a simple and tasty snack recipe. It is very easy to prepare with minimal ingredients available at home. So, the ingredients used in this recipe are taro root, salt to taste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, oil as required and water as required. It can be served with samber rice, rasam rice, or as a snacks.

How to make Taro Root Chips Recipe:

Firstly clean and pressure cook taro root for 3 whistles. Note: Should not over cooked.

Remove the skin of the taro root carefully and then cut them into round shape pieces.

Later heat oil and add in cut taro root pieces one by one carefully. Cook till brown.

Fry till brown.

After frying taro root add in salt, turmeric powder and chili powder. Give a mix. Finally the healthy and tasty taro root chips is ready to serve.

Spicy Taro Root Chips

Spicy Taro Root Chips is a healthy and tasty chips recipe goes well with samber rice, rasam rice or as an evening snacks.

  • Pressure Cooker
  • Pan
  • ½ kg Taro Root
  • Salt as per taste
  • Red Chili powder as per taste
  • 1 Cup Oil
  • Pinch of turmeric powder (Optional)
  1. Firstly clean and pressure cook taro root for 3 whistles. Note: Should not be over cooked.

  2. Then remove the skin of the taro root and cut them into round shape pieces.

  3. Then heat oil and add in cut taro root pieces one by one. Fry till brown.

  4. Then transfer it into another bowl and sprinkle required salt and red chili powder, turmeric powder(optional). Give a mix and serve.
