It is similar to paneer butter masala. Instead of paneer boiled eggs are added. So, the ingredients used in this recipe are boiled eggs, onions, tomatoes, cashew nuts, fennel seeds, cloves, bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste, tumeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, kasuri methi (dry fenugreek seeds), butter, salt to taste, fresh cream and water as required.

Creamy Egg Butter Masala is a rich and delicious gravy recipe goes well with pulka, chapati, poori, dosa, jeera rice, coconut rice.
- Pan
- Mixer
- 3 Nos. Tomatoes
- 15 Cashew nuts
- 2 tbsp Butter
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 Bay leaf
- ½ Inch Cinnamon stick
- 2 Green cardamom
- 2 Cloves
- 2 Medium Chopped onions
- 5 to 6 Boiled Eggs
- ⅛ tsp Turmeric Powder
- ½ tsp Coriander powder
- ½ tsp Kashmiri red chili
- ½ tsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Fresh cream
- ¼ tsp Garam masala
- ½ tsp Kasuri methi
- Water as required
- Salt as per taste

Firstly heat a water and add in tomatoes, cashew nuts. Close a lid a allow it rest for 15 minutes. Then remove the skin of the tomatoes, then cut them into pieces. Now transfer into a mixer jar and ground them into a smooth paste along with cashew nuts.

Heat a pan and add in butter, cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, fennel seeds. Saute till the spices are fragrant.

Then add in ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes away.

Then add in chopped onions, saute till translucent. Then add in turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder. Give a mix.

Later add in grounded tomato and cashew nut paste. Mix and cook for 8 minutes or till it thickens or if the oil releases from the sides.

Then add one cup of water, stir well and let the gravy cook for another 8 minutes on a low flame.

Then add in salt to taste, half tsp sugar, garam masala, kasuri methi. Give a mix.

Finally add in fresh cream, give a mix and switch off the flame. Now the Creamy egg butter masala is ready to serve.
