Creamy Egg Butter Masala

Creamy Egg Butter Masala is a delicious and creamy masala recipe. Egg butter masala is a creamy and rich gravy recipe made with boiled eggs and then added into a creamy rich gravy. It is similar to paneer butter masala. Instead of paneer boiled eggs are added. So, the ingredients used in this recipe are boiled eggs, onions, tomatoes, cashew nuts, fennel seeds, cloves, bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste, tumeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, kasuri methi (dry fenugreek seeds), butter, salt to taste, fresh cream and water as required.

How to make Creamy Egg Butter Masala:

Firstly heat one cup of water and add in tomatoes and cashew nuts. Then switch off the flame. Close the lid and allow to rest for 10 to 15 minutes.

Later remove the skin of the tomatoes.

Cut the tomatoes into pieces.

Transfer it into a mixer jar and ground them into a smooth paste.

Now heat a pan and add in butter.

Add in cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, fennel seeds, cardamom, ginger garlic paste. Saute till the raw smell goes away.

 

Then add in chopped onions and fry for 2 minutes in low flame.

And add in turmeric powder, coriander powder, kashmiri red chili powder.

And then add in grounded tomato cashew nut paste. Give a mix and cook for 8 minutes or till it thickens or you see oil releasing from the sides.

Now add in boiled and cut eggs and a cup of water. Stir well and let the gravy cook for another 8 minutes on a low flame.

Later add in season with salt as required, 1/4th tsp of sugar, garam masala and kasuri methi.

At last add in fresh cream, give a quick mix and switch off the flame.

Finally garnish it with freshly chopped coriander leaves and the creamy egg butter masala is ready to serve.

Creamy Egg Butter Masala.

Creamy Egg Butter Masala is a rich and delicious gravy recipe goes well with pulka, chapati, poori, dosa, jeera rice, coconut rice.

  • Pan
  • Mixer
  • 3 Nos. Tomatoes
  • 15 Cashew nuts
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • ½ tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • ½ Inch Cinnamon stick
  • 2 Green cardamom
  • 2 Cloves
  • 2 Medium Chopped onions
  • 5 to 6 Boiled Eggs
  • ⅛ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • ½ tsp Coriander powder
  • ½ tsp Kashmiri red chili
  • ½ tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Fresh cream
  • ¼ tsp Garam masala
  • ½ tsp Kasuri methi
  • Water as required
  • Salt as per taste
  1. Firstly heat a water and add in tomatoes, cashew nuts. Close a lid a allow it rest for 15 minutes. Then remove the skin of the tomatoes, then cut them into pieces. Now transfer into a mixer jar and ground them into a smooth paste along with cashew nuts.

  2. Heat a pan and add in butter, cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, fennel seeds. Saute till the spices are fragrant.

  3. Then add in ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell goes away.

  4. Then add in chopped onions, saute till translucent. Then add in turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder. Give a mix.

  5. Later add in grounded tomato and cashew nut paste. Mix and cook for 8 minutes or till it thickens or if the oil releases from the sides.

  6. Then add one cup of water, stir well and let the gravy cook for another 8 minutes on a low flame.

  7. Then add in salt to taste, half tsp sugar, garam masala, kasuri methi. Give a mix.

  8. Finally add in fresh cream, give a mix and switch off the flame. Now the Creamy egg butter masala is ready to serve.
