Soya chunks biryani or meal maker biryani is a flavorful and healthy biryani variety recipe. So, the ingredients used in this recipe are soya chunks, basmati rice or even we can use jeera samba rice, oil, ghee, cloves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, bay leaf, fennel seeds, pepper corns, cumin seeds, onions, ginger garlic paste, green chilies, tomatoes, garam masala or coriander powder, mint leaves, coriander leaves, kasuri methi, salt to taste, water as required.

How to make Soya Biryani Recipe:

Soya biryani
Firstly rinse soya chunks. Then take a hot water in a bowl and add in rinsed soya chunks. Allow it rest for 5 minutes.

Heat a pan and add in oil, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, cardamom, sliced onions. Fry till brown.

Then add in green chili paste, ginger garlic paste. Fry till the raw smell goes away.

Then add in tomato paste and cook for 3 minutes.

Add in mint and coriander leaves paste, garam masala. Saute it till the raw smell goes away.

Soya Chunks Biryani

Soya Chunks Biryani is a healthy and tasty biryani recipe. It goes well with onion raita, any gravy of your choice.

  • Large Pan
  • Mixer jar
  • 1 cup Rice
  • 1 cup Soya chunks
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 3 Cloves
  • 1 inch Cinnamon stick
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 tsp Fennel seeds
  • ¼ tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 Onion
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 4 Green chilies
  • ½ cup Mint and coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp Garam masala or coriander powder or biryani powder
  • 1 tbsp Kasuri methi
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water as required
  1. Firstly rinse soya chunks and keep it aside. Later take a bowl of hot water and add in rinsed and squeezed soya chunks into it. Allow it rest for 5 minutes.

  2. Later heat a pan and add in oil, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, sliced onions. Saute till the onions turns brown.

  3. Then add in green chili, ginger garlic paste. Saute it till the raw smell goes away.

  4. Later add in tomato paste, mint and coriander leaves paste. Cook till the raw smell goes away.

  5. Then add in water, salt to taste, kasuri methi. Once the water starts to boil then add in soaked rice and ghee.

  6. Now close the lid and cook till the rice is completely cooked.

  7. Finally the healthy and tasty soya biryani is ready to serve.
