Ingredients:

Dry peas, onion, tomato, fennel seeds, coconut, oil, curry leaves, turmeric powder, coriander powder, green chilies, red chili powder, garam masala, water as required, salt to taste.

How to make Peas Kurma:

  1. Firstly clean and soak dry peas for 8 hours or overnight.
  2. Now heat a pressure cooker and add in water, soaked peas, onion, tomato, fennel seeds, curry leaves, salt, green chili, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder.
  3. Close the lid and pressure cook it for 3 to 4 whistles.
  4. Then heat a pan and add in oil, fennel seeds, chopped onions, curry leaves. Saute it for 2 minutes.
  5. Then add in red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder. Saute it for 1 minutes.
  6. Now add in cooked peas and coconut paste. Allow it boil. If required add in salt or chili powder at this stage.
  7. And then add in garam masala. Allow it boil.
  8. Finally garnish it with chopped coriander leaves, and the peas kurma is ready to serve.

How to make Peas Kurma:

  • 1 Large onion

  • 2 tsp Fennel seeds
  • ¼ tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • ⅛ tsp Turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp Red chili powder (Add as per requirements)
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • ½ cup Coconut
  • Salt to taste
