Nati Koli Pot Chiken Biryani

Biryani is a mixed rice dish with mixed vegetable, chicken, lamp. It can be compared to mixing a curry, later combining it with semi cooked rice separately. This dish is especially popular throughout the Indian subcontinent. Biryani can be served with Onion raita, thick gravies or curries.

Ingredients generally used are Mixed vegetable or Meat, Nuts, Yogurt, Ginger garlic paste, Spice powders, rice, Onions, Tomatoes, Mint leaves, Coriander leaves, oil.

Nati Koli Pot Chicken Biryani

Who doen't like biryani everyone like it. Some a may like Vegetable biryani and some other may like Meat biryani. The ingredients used in both veg and non veg biryani are almost same. Process may differ.

  • ½ kg. Nati Koli Chicken
  • 3 cups Basmati rice
  • 4 nos. Big Onion
  • 4 nos. Tomato
  • 5 nos. Green Chili
  • 2 nos. Bay leaves
  • 1 tsp Fennel seeds
  • 2 nos. Cinnamon Stick
  • 2 nos. Cardamom
  • 4 nos. Cloves
  • 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • ¼ cup Fenugreek leaves (Optional)
  • 4½ cup Water
  • Salt (As per taste)
  • 1 tbsp Ghee (Optional)

Chicken Marination

  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Biryani powder
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp salt

For Grinding

  • 2 tbsp Coconut chopped
  • ½ cup coriander leaves
  • ¾ cup Mint leaves
  1. Firstly soak the rice for 30 minutes, and marinate the chicken.



  2. Take a pan add in Oil, Cloves, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Bay leaf, Fennel seeds and green chili.



  3. Add in Onion, Tomatoes, Ginger Garlic paste.



  4. Add in marinated chicken. Cook till the chicken half cooks.



  5. Grind the paste.



  6. Add in grounded paste, water and rice. Close the lid and cook 20 to 25 minutes in low flame.



  7. Biryani is ready to serve with Onion raita or with some thick gravy or curries.



  1. You can also add curd while marinating. It makes the chicken soft.
  2. Add ghee is optional.
