Matar Paneer Masala Dhaba Style is a delicious gravy recipe with step by step pictures and instructions are given below. It is very simple and easy to prepare, it is a flavorful masala recipe, prepared using paneer, spices, green peas. It goes well with chapati, poori, dosa, pulka, paratha, jeera rice, ghee rice, coconut rice. Instead of green peas we can use sweet corn too.

 

Ingredients:

Fresh paneer, onion, tomato, green peas, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, bay leaf, fennel seeds, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, salt to taste, kasuri methi, water as required.

Methods:

How to make Matar Paneer Masala:

  1. Firstly heat a pan and add in oil, onion, tomatoes. Saute it till the onions and tomatoes are nicely cooked.
  2. Then add in cinnamon sticks, cloves. Cook till the veggies are nicely cooked. Later allow it cool down completely and ground it into a smooth paste.
  3. Heat the same pan and add in fennel seeds, bay leaf.
  4. And the add in grounded paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt to taste.
  5. Then add in ginger garlic paste and cook till the raw smell goes away.
  6. And then add in frozen green peas.
  7. Then add in fresh paneer and cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Finally add in kasuri methi and serve hot with chapati or poori.
  9. Finally the tasty Matar Paneer Masala is ready to serve.

  • Pan
  • Mixer jar
  • 200 Grams Paneer
  • ⅓ cup Green peas or Matar
  • 2 Onion
  • 2 Tomato big
  • ½ tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 3 Cloves
  • 1 inch Cinnamon stick
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • ¼ tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • ½ tsp Garam masala powder
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Kasuri methi
  • 1 cup Water (Add as per requirement)
