Healthy Peanut Chikki

Peanut Chikki is one of the healthy and traditonal sweet recipe or snack recipe. Peanut chikkies can be prepared using jaggery or even with sugar. Today in this recipe I am using jaggery for sweetener. Again it is very simple to prepare and ingredients used in this recipe are also very few. So, the ingredients used in this recipe are peanuts, jaggery, cardamom powder, ghee and little water.

How to Make Peanut Chikki or Ground nut Chikki:

Heat a pan and add in peanuts and fry till it slightly changes its color or till brown.

Allow it cool down completely on a cloth or and plate.

To remove the skin of the peanut, hold the cloth as shown in the pictures and try to rub or tab with the other hand.

Heat a pan and add in ghee.

Add in jaggery.

Allow it to melt.

Right consistency of the jaggery is to form a round shape.

Now add in roasted peanuts.

Give a quick mix and switch off the stove.

Now grease a plate or any flat surface like chopping board with oil or ghee. And then pour the peanut mixture on it and give a shape of your choice and then allow it to cool down.

Finally peanut chikki is ready to serve.

 

Peanut Chikki

Peanut chikki or ground nut chikki is a healthy and traditional sweet recipe. In this recipe I have used jaggery for sweetness. Hope you all like it.

  • Pan
  • 1 cup Peanuts
  • ¾ cup Jaggery
  • ¼ tsp Cardamom Powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp Ghee
  • 2 tsp Water
  1. Firstly dry roast the peanuts and keep it aside.

  2. Allow it cool down completely and then try to remove the skin of the peanuts as shown in the above image.

  3. Then heat a pan and add in ghee, water and jaggery.

  4. Allow it melt completely and cook till you get the right consistency ( as shown in the image)

  5. Now add in peanuts and give a quick mix and switch off the stove.

  6. Now grease the plate with oil of ghee and pour the peanut mixture on it.

  7. Give a proper shape and cut them according to your choice.

  8. Finally the peanut chikki is ready to serve and can be stored in air tight container.
