Dal fry is again a simple and delicious recipe. In dal fry we can use dals like Toor dal, Channa dal, Mung dal and sometimes Masoor dal can be used. Along with dal Onion, Tomato also been added. Dals are cooked till mushy. Then prepare tadka for that and add it to the cooked dal. The dal fry is ready to serve with Jeera Rice, Chapati, Plain rice.

Simple Dal Fry
Dal fry is a simple and delicious recipe. It is very healthy too. It goes well with jeera rice, chapati and even with plain rice.
- ½ Cup Toor dal
- ½ Cup Channa dal
- 1 Onion
- 1 Tomato
- 2 Dry chili
- 1 Spring Curry leaves
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Garlic chopped
- ½ tsp Garam Masala Powder
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds
- ¼ tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tbsp Kasuri methi
- Salt (As per taste)
- Water (As required)
Pressure cook dal, onion, tomato.
Whisk it.
For tadka add in oil, mustard, cumin, curry leaves, chopped garlic and dry chili.
Add in dal mix and tadka. Add in garam masala salt and water.
Add in coriander leaves, kasuri methi and serve hot with chapati or jeera rice.
- Add in ghee for extra taste.
