I came to know about this recipe by my mom, usually my mom use to prepare this rava dessert during festivals, especially for varama lakshmi festivals. She use to prepare these laddus one day before the festival and on the day of festival she use to offer the laddus to the goddess laskhmi. Along with this recipe she use to prepare other sweets like obbattu i.e., poornpoli and karjikaee. It is one of my most favorite festival.

Ingredients:

Roasted medium rava, powdered sugar, fried cashew nuts and raisins, for flavor here I have used cardamom powder, dry coconut powder, oil to fry, boiled milk, pinch of salt.

So, while making rava laddu even we can add other chopped dry fruits, like pistachio, almond, dates too. To enhance the taste of the rava laddu, firstly we need to roast the dry fruits in ghee and then add them to the rava mixture and start making laddus. And we can also use freshly grated coconuts also. If you add fresh coconuts then you cannot keep them more than a day, as it may get spoiled easily.

We can keep this rava laddu outside for 1 to 2 days only. If it is kept more than 2 days, then it is not good to eat. So, it is better to have fresh or within 2 days.
