Ingredients
2 tbsp. Oil
2 Cloves
1/2 Inch Cinnamon sticks
1 Cardamom
1 Bay leaf
1 Onion chopped
1 Tomato
2 Green chilies
4 Potatoes
1/2 Green Peas (Frozen)
Salt to taste
2 cups Water
2 tbsp. Coriander leaves
2 tbsp. Mint leaves
- For Masala Paste
1 Onion
6 Garlic pods
1/2 Inch Ginger
6 Cashew nut
1 tsp Red chili powder
1 tbsp. Coriander powder
1/2 tsp Garam masala
1/4 cup Coconut
Directions
- Firstly, heat a pressure cooker and add in oil or ghee, cloves, cardamom cinnamon stick, bay leaf and chopped onion. Sauté till the onions turns translucent.
- Then add in tomato and green chilies. Sauté till the tomatoes turns soft.
- Add green peas, potatoes and 1/4 tsp turmeric powder.
- For masala paste: take a mixer jar and add in onion, ginger, garlic and cashew nuts.
- And then add in fresh coconuts, red chili powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder.
- Later add little water and grind it into a smooth paste.
- Fresh smooth kurma masala is ready.
- Further, add in prepared kurma masala.
- Salt to taste.
- Required water.
- Close the lid and pressure cook it for 2 whistles.
- After pressure cooking for 2 whistles add in freshly chopped coriander and mint leaves.
- Finally, Potato Peas Kurma is ready to serve.
