How to make Tomato Rice or Tomato bath Recipe:

Firstly heat a pan and add in oil and cashew nuts and fry till slight brown.

And then add in cloves, cinnamon stick, cardamom, bay leaf, fennel seeds.

Later add in curry leaves, garlic cloves, green chilies and fry till brown.

  • Pan
  • 2 cup Basmati rice (cooked) (Or any other rice which is available at home)
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Fennel seeds
  • 3 Cloves
  • 2 Inch Cinnamon sticks
  • 2 Cardamom pods
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 6 Garlic cloves
  • 1 big Sliced onions
  • 3 Green chilies
  • 4 Medium Tomatoes
  • 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • ½ cup Frozen Green peas
  • 1 tsps Kashmiri chili powder
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • ⅛ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 spring Curry leaves
  • Few cashew nuts
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  1. Heat a pan and add in oil, fennel seeds, bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods.

  2. Then add in crushed garlic, green chilies, curry leaves and ginger garlic paste. Fry till raw smell goes.

  3. Then add in sliced onions, tomatoes, turmeric powder, chili powder, garam masala, kashmiri chili powder, salt to taste. Give a mix. Close the lid and cook till the tomatoes becomes soft.

  4. Later add in green peas and cook for another 5 minutes in low flame.

  5. Then add in cooked rice and give a mix.

  6. Finally garnish it with finely chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with onion raita or coconut chutney.
