Telangana Style Mutton Curry is a delicious and tasty mutton curry. It goes well with rice, ragi ball, chapati, dosa, parathas etc. Usually I like Andhra cuisine because of the spiciness. So, the ingredients used in this recipe are mutton, oil, onion, ginger, garlic, coconut, cashew nuts, poppy seeds, cardamom, coriander seeds, cloves, cinnamon sticks, shajeera, coriander leaves, mint leaves.
In this recipe I have added potatoes and green peas(its optional), has my family members like to have potatoes and peas in gravies. If you don’t like you can skip it.

Telangana Style Mutton Curry
Telangana Style Mutton Curry is a yummy and delicious mutton curry recipe. It goes well with hot rice, ragi ball, chapati, dosa, paratha.
- Pressure Cooker
- Mixer jar
- ½ Kg Mutton
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 2 big Onions
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 2 tsp Poppy seeds
- ½ tsp Cumin seeds
- 2 tsp Coriander seeds
- 3 tbsp Coconut
- 3 Cardamom
- 4 Cloves
- 2 inch Cinnamon sticks
- ½ tsp Shajeera
- 3 tsp Red chili powder (Add as per your taste)
- 6 Cashew nuts
- 3 Potatoes (Optional)
- ½ cup Green peas
- ¼ cup Chopped coriander and mint leaves
- Salt (As per taste)

Firstly clean mutton and keep it aside.

Then heat pressure cooker and add in oil, Mutton, turmeric powder, grounded onion, ginger garlic paste and And give a mix and cook till the raw smell goes.

Now close the lid and cook till the water in the mutton boils away.

For masala: Take a mixer jar and add in poppy seeds, cumin seeds coriander seeds, grated coconut, Cloves, cardamom, cashew nuts, cinnamon sticks, shajeera. Ground them into a smooth paste.

Then add in chili powder and salt as per taste to the boiling mutton and give a mix.

Then add in the grounded mutton paste, potatoes, green peas,coriander and mint leaves and give a mix. Let it cook for another 5 minutes. Later add in one cup of water or as per your consistency you can add in water.

Then close the cooker lid and pressure cook it for 2 to 3 whistles.

Finally the Telangana Style Mutton Curry is ready to serve.
