Potato Garlic Fry Recipe
Potato Garlic Fry Recipe is a tasty and simple fry recipe made with boiled potatoes. It goes well with hot rasam or sambar rice, pulka or chapati.
- Pan
- Pressure Cooker Or Pan
- Mixer jar
- 6 to 7 Potatoes
- 1 tbsp Oil
- ½ tsp Urad dal
- 1 tsp Channa dal
- ⅛ tsp Mustard seeds
- Few curry leaves
- Pinch of turmeric powder
- Pinch of hing
- Red chili powder if required
- Salt to taste
- Water as required
Coarse Powder
- ¼ cup Dry coconuts
- 6 pods Garlic
- 3 Dry chilies

Firstly clean and pressure cook potatoes for whistles and keep it aside to cool.

Then peel the skin of the potatoes and keep it aside.

And then cut them into big pieces.

Now for making coarse powder take a mixer jar and add in dry coconuts, garlic pods and dry red chilies.

Ground them into a coarse powder.

Now heat a pan and add in oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal, curry leaves, high.

And then add in cut potatoes, turmeric powder and give a mix.

Then add in coarsely grounded powder and give a mix so that the powder is evenly coated with the potato pieces.

Now add in red chili powder(if required) and salt to taste.

Close the lid and allow it cook for 5 minutes in low flame.

Finally the potato garlic fry is ready to serve with hot rasam rice or sambar rice or pulka.
- Potatoes should not be over cooked, it should be little hard.
- Red chili powder can be added if required.
