If we have idli podi stock at home we need not to prepare any chutney or samber, simply we can sprinkle this idle podi along with some ghee on it. How to make Podi Idli Recipe:

Firstly pour idli batter in the idli mold and allow it to cook for 7 to 8 minutes.

Now the soft idlies are ready.

Then cut idli into pieces. If it is mini idlies no need to cut. As I was not having mini idli mold, I prepared in normal idli molds.

Now heat a pan and add in oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves.

Now add in cut idlies or mini idlies.

Then sprinkle some idli podi and give a mix. Saute it for 1 minute in low flame and switch off the flame.

Finally the healthy podi idli is ready to serve. Even we can add in ghee too.

  • Idli mold
  • 1 cup Idli batter
  • 4 tbsp Idli podi
  • 1 tbsp Oil or ghee
  • 2 spring Curry leaves
