Pani Puri Recipe | How to make Pani Puri is one of the most popular and common Indian Street food in all over India. Pani puri is also known as Golgappa. I is very easy and simple to make at home. Once the puri is ready, rest filling is very easy to prepare. With this pori we can make other chats like bhel puri, chot poti, dahi puri, sev puri. It is good to have during rainy season or in the evenings.

INGREDIENTS:

Making Puri: Semolina, Maida (all purpose flour), water.

For making Pani: Mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies, ginger, salt to taste, cumin powder, tamarind juice, salt to taste.

Tamarind sweet water: Tamarind juice, jaggery, water, red chili powder, cumin powder, salt to taste.

For filling: Boiled potatoes, red chili powder, cumin powder, pepper powder, salt to taste and chopped onions.

Finally the Pani Puri is ready to serve.

HOW TO MAKE PANI PURI RECIPE:

FOR MAKING PURI:

Pani Puri
Take a mixing bowl and add in semolina, maida, water as required. Give a mix to a chapati dough consistency.

close the lid and allow it rest for 15 to 20 minutes.

Take a ball sized dough and press.

Roll it into a flat bread with the help of a rolling pin.

With help of round shape cookie cutter, cut the dough as shown in the figure.

Cut round shaped dough.

Now heat a pan and add in oil, prepared pani puri round shaped dough carefully into the oil.

Fry till golden brown and the crispy puri is ready to make pani puri.

FOR MAKING GREEN PANI:

Take a mixer jar and add in mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chilies, ginger and then grind it into a smooth paste.

With the help of strainer, strain the grounded paste.

Now add in cumin powder, little water.

Now add in tamarind juice and give a mix.

Finally the Pani is ready to serve.

FOR MAKING TAMARIND SWEET WATER:

Firstly rinse and soak tamarind in hot water for 20 minutes. And extract the paste or juice.

Strain the tamarind juice with the help of a strainer.

Firstly heat a sauce pan and add in jaggery and little water, allow it to melt.

Strain the boiled and cooled jaggery syrup.

Now add in the extracted jaggery syrup, red chili powder, cumin powder, salt to taste and little water. Give a mix.

Finally the tamarind sweet water is ready.

FOR MAKING POTATO FILLINGS:

Now take a bowl and add in boiled smashed potatoes, red chili powder, cumin powder, pepper powder, salt to taste. Mix well.

Finally the Potato filling is ready.

FOR ASSEMBLING PANI PURI:

Firstly assemble puri, potato stuffing, chopped onions, tamarind sweet water, pani at one place.

Now take one puri, make a hole at the center and add in potato stuffing, chopped onions and repeat the same to all the puri and keep it aside.

Now pour the prepared pani and tamarind water into the holes and serve.

Pani Puri | How to make Pani Puri

Pani Puri is one of the famous and common street food in all over India. It is one of the best evening snack and it is good to eat when it is raining.

  • Mixing bowl

For Making Puri

  • ⅓ cup Semolina
  • ½ cup Maida or all purpose flour
  • ½ cup Water (Use as per requirement)

For making Potato stuffing

  • 3 Big boiled potatoes
  • ¼ tsp Red chili powder
  • ⅛ tsp Cumin powder
  • ⅛ tsp Pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 Chopped onions

Green Pani

  • ½ cup Mint leaves
  • ½ cup Coriander leaves
  • ½ inch Ginger
  • 2 Green chilies
  • 1 tbsp Tamarind juice
  • ¼ tsp Cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ cup Water (Adjust according to consistency)

For making sweet tamarind water

  • 1 cup Tamarind juice
  • 3 tbsp Jaggery syrup (jaggery ¼ cup + water ¼)
  • ¼ tsp Red chili powder
  • ⅛ tsp Cumin powder
  • ⅛ tsp Pepper powder
  • Salt to taste

For Making Puri
