Paneer Tikka Masala

Paneer Tikka Masala is one of the delicious gravy recipe, it is similar to paneer butter masala, only think is we need to marinate paneer, capsicum and onion, then roast them on tawa and then add it to the gravy. It goes well with poori, roti, chapati, jeera rice etc. So, the ingredients used in this recipe are fresh paneer, capsicum, onions, tomatoes, green peas(optional), turmeric powder,thick curd, ginger and garlic, chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, kashmiri chili powder, cashew nuts, oil, salt to taste, kasuri methi, water as required.

Paneer Tikka Masala

Paneer Tikka Masala is a delicious gravy recipe, it goes well with poori, chapati, dosa, jeera rice.

  • Mixing bowl
  • Mixer grinder
  • Large bottom pan

For Marination

  • 200 grm Fresh Paneer
  • 1 Capsicum chopped
  • 1 Large onion chopped
  • 2 tbsp Thick curd
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • 1 tsp Chili powder, Coriander powder
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri Chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Kasuri methi
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
  • Salt to taste

For Gravy

  • 1 Big Onion
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Cashew nuts
  • 1 to 2 Cloves and Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • ½ tsp Grama masala
  • 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp Frozen Green peas
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Kasuri methi
  • 1 tbsp Jaggery or sugar (for sweetness) (Optional)
  • Water as required
  1. Take a bowl and add in curd, chili powder, coriander powder, kasuri methi, garam masala, kashmiri chili powder, turmeric powder. Give a mix.

  2. Now add in paneer cubes, capsicum, cut onions and give mix. Then allow it marinate for 15 minutes.

  3. Heat a pan and add in little oil, onion, tomato, cashew nuts, cloves, cinnamon fry for 2 minutes in low flame, then allow it cool. Transfer it to a mixer jar.

  4. Now grind them into fine paste, and keep it aside.

  5. Heat a pan and add in oil, prepared paste, ginger and garlic paste, chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, kashmiri chili powder, turmeric powder, green peas, salt to taste. Give a mix.

  6. Close the lid and cook till the oil separates and the raw smell goes.

  7. Now heat a tawa add in oil and toast the marinated paneer, capsicum, onion.

  8. Then add in the toasted paneer, capsicum, onion and required amount water into the gravy.

  9. Again close the lid cook for another 3 to 5 minutes in low flame.

  10. Finally the Paneer Tikka Masala is ready to serve.
