Beetroot kurma is a healthy and tasty gravy recipe, it goes well with chapati, poori and even with dosa. It is very easy to prepare but really tastes good. Ingredients used in this recipe are freshly chopped beetroot, freshly chopped coconuts, onions, tomato, garlic, ginger, fennel seeds, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon sticks, coriander leaves for garnishing, curry leaves, chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, oil, salt as per taste, water as required.

Healthy Beetroot Kurma or Gravy
Healthy Beetroot Kurma or gravy is a tasty kurma recipe, it goes well with chapati, poori and even with dosa too.
- 1½ cup Freshly chopped Beetroot
- 2 Chopped Onions
- 1 Chopped Tomato
- 1 tbsp Chopped Coconut
- 1 Cloves, Cardamum, Cinnamon Sticks
- ¼ tsp Fennel seeds
- 1 tsp Roasted Channa
- 1 spring Curry leaves
- ¼ tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 inch Ginger
- 6 to 7 Garlic
- 1 to 2 tsp Oil
- Coriander leaves (For garnishing)
- Salt (As per taste)
- Water (As required)
Take a pan and add in oil, mustard seeds, 1 chopped onion, chopped tomato.
Add in chopped beetroot, salt and required water.
Close the lid and cook for 5 minutes.
Take a mixer grinder and add in onions, cloves, cardamom, cinnamom sticks, fennel seeds, coconuts, ginger and garlic. Make a paste.
Add in the grounded paste, and close the lid and cook for 10 minutes.
Now the beetroot kurma is ready to serve with chapati, poori and dosa.
- To make more rich even we can add in cashew nut paste or even fried cashew nuts.
