How to make Ha yagreeva madd recipe:
Hayagreeva maddi is a traditional Udupi special dessert recipe. It is one of the healthy sweet recipe.
- Bowl for soaking
- ½ cup Channa dal
- ½ cup Jaggery or Country sugar
- 1 tsp Cardamom powder
- ½ cup Grated coconuts
- 1 tbsp Cashew nuts
- 1 tbsp Raisins
- 1 tbsp Ghee
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Pinch of salt
- Water as required
Firstly soak channa dal for one hour.
Pressure cook for 5 whistles and keep it aside.
Then heat a pan and add in oil, cashew nuts and raisins. Fry till golden brown and keep it aside.
In the same pan add in cooked channa dal, jaggery, grated coconut and cardamom powder and give a mix. Cook in low flame for 5 to 7 minutes.
Finally add in fried cashew nuts and raisins and give a mix.
Now the healthy and tasty Hayagreeva maddi is ready to serve.
