How to make Drumstick Leaves|Moringa Leaves Soup:

Firstly heat a pan and add in water, drumstick leaves, shallots, tomato, garlic.

Now add in pepper corns, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, pinch of turmeric powder. Give a mix and close the lid, and allow it boil for 5 to 8 minutes.

After boiling, strain it with the help of a strainer.

After straining allow it cool down completely.

Reserved drumstick water. Keep it aside.

Transfer it to a mixer jar.

Grounded into a smooth paste.

  • Pan
  • Strainer
  • Serving bowl
  • 1 cup Drumstick leaves or handful
  • 3 Shallot onions
  • ½ Tomato chopped
  • 4 Garlic
  • ¼ tsp Pepper corns
  • ¼ tsp Cumin seeds
  • ¼ tsp Coriander seeds
  • 2 cups Water
  • Salt to taste
  1. Firstly heat a pan and add in water, drumstick leaves, shallots, tomato, garlic.

  2. Now add in pepper corns, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, pinch of turmeric powder. Give a mix and close the lid, and allow it boil for 5 to 8 minutes.

  3. After boiling, strain it with the help of a strainer. After straining allow it cool down completely.

  4. Reserved drumstick water. Keep it aside.

  5. Transfer the cooked drumstick leaves and spices to a mixer jar. Then grounded into a smooth paste.

  6. Add in the reserved drumstick water to the paste and strain it.

  7. Press the remaining with the help of spoon.

  8. Now heat a pan and add in strained soup and reserved water, salt to taste. Allow it boil for 2 minutes and switch of the flame.

  9. Finally transfer to a soup bowl and serve hot.
