Christmas Sweet Rose Cookies, Achu Murukku without Egg

Rose Cookies is also known as Achappam, Achu Murukku. It is one of the famous Christmas sweet prepared during Christmas.So the ingredients used in this recipe are rice flour, maida, coconut milk, powdered sugar, cardamom powder, salt, oil for deep frying. So it is real very simple and easy to prepare. For preparing this sweet mainly we need rose cookies mold.

Rose Cookies are Christmas Sweet recipe with step by step pictures and instructions are given below.

  • Large bottom pan
  • Rose Cookies Mold
  • 1 cup Rice Flour
  • 2 tbsp All purpose Flour, Maida
  • ¾ cup Coconut Milk
  • ⅓ cup Powdered Sugar
  • ⅛ tsp Cardamom Powder
  • ⅛ tsp Salt
  1. Take a bowl and add in rice flour, all purpose flour, cardamom powder, salt, powdered sugar. Give a mix.

  2. Extract coconut milk from fresh coconut and keep it aside.

  3. Add in coconut milk to the above mixture and give a mix without any lumps. Make a thick batter.

  4. Heat oil in a pan and place the rose cookie mould inside. Once hot, put the flame to low, take of the mould. Dip 3/4th of the mould alone in the batter gently and take out slowly.

  5. Now dip in the hot oil, hold it for few seconds and after few shakes, batter by itself come out of the mould. (If it is not coming out then with the help of fork try to push it dow). Cook in medium flame.

  6. Drain over paper towel. It will be soft as soon as you drain off and later it becomes crisp as it cools down.
