When I was small my mom use to make this tasty chicken recipe is is very simple to prepare with minimal ingredients. And it is one of my favorite chicken gravy too. So, the ingredients used in this recipe are Chicken, onions, tomato, garlic, green chilies, any chicken masala powder of your choice, salt to taste, oil as required, garlic, lemon juice, potatoes, coriander leaves, mint leaves, lemon juice, cashew nut paste(optional) added for thickness and flavor.

Chicken gravy + Rice or Ragi ball.
Chicken gravy + Chapati, pulka, dosa, puri, parathas.
Chicken gravy + jeera rice, coconut rice, peas pulao.

How to make Beginners Chicken Gravy Recipe:
Heat a pan and add in oil, crushed garlic and fry till ti turns slightly brown.
Take a bowl and add in chicken masala powder and little, then give a mix and make a paste. (By doing this we can avoid lumps).

Beginners Chicken Gravy Recipe is a easy, simple and tasty chicken gravy recipe. It goes well with hot rice, chapati, poori, pulka, ragi ball, parathas, jeera rice etc.
- Pan
- 1 kg Chicken
- 10 to 15 Garlic cloves
- 1 big Chopped onion
- 1 big Chopped tomatoes
- 2 to 3 Green chilies
- 6 tnsp Chicken masala (Adjust according to your spice level and taste)
- 2 tbsp Cashew nut paste (Optional)
- 3 Potatoes (Optional)
- ¼ cup Oil
- Salt to taste
- ⅛ tsp Turmeric powder
- Chopped coriander and mint leaves
- ½ Lemon
- ½ cup Water (Adjust as per thickness)

Firstly heat a pan and add in oil, crushed garlic pods and fry till slightly brown.

Then add in chopped onion, green chilies and fry till transparent.

Then add in chopped tomatoes and cook till soft and add in cleaned chicken along with some turmeric powder. Give a mix.

Later add in chicken masala powder and give a mix. Then close the lid and cook the chicken.

When the chicken is half cooked add in potatoes(optional) and again close the lid and cook till the chicken and potatoes are completely cooked.

Finally add in cashew nut paste(optional) and give a mix. It give nice flavor and thickness to the gravy.

At the end squeeze half of the lemon juice and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves and switch off the stove.

Finally the beginners chicken gravy is ready to serve with hot rice, chapati, pulka etc. of your choice.
