Bread Halwa

Bread halwa is a simple and tasty halwa recipe made with bread. It is very easy to prepare with minimal ingredients used in this recipe. So, the ingredients used in this recipe are sweet bread, sugar, milk, ghee, cashew nuts, raisins, oil. Even we can add any nuts of our choice like chopped almonds, pistachio etc. It is better to use sweet bread instead of salt bread.

How to make Bread Halwa Recipe:

Firstly heat a pan and add in little butter or ghee or even oil and toast bread on both the sides.

Remove the sides of the bread.

Cut breads into small pieces.

Now heat a pan and add in oil or ghee and add in cashew nuts and raisins. Fry till brown.

Then in the same pan add in milk and allow it boil.

Then add in toasted cut breads and give a mix.

Then close the lid and allow it cook till the breads becomes soft.

Then add in sugar and give a mix.

Later add in cardamom powder and give a mix.

Bread Halwa Recipe

Bread Halwa Recipe is a simple and tasty halwa recipe. It is very easy to prepare with minimal ingredients available at home.

  • Tawa or pan
  • Pan
  • 6 Slice Bread
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ½ cup Sugar (Add according to your taste)
  • ½ tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 8 to 10 Cashew nuts and Raisins
  • Pinch of salt
  • Oil as per requirement
  1. Heat a pan and add in ghee or oil and toast bread on both the sides.

  2. Then remove the sides of the bread and cut them into small pieces.

  3. Later heat a pan and add in milk and allow it boil and then add in cut bread pieces.

  4. Then close the lid and allow the bread to cook till it becomes soft and smooth or cook till the halwa consistency.

  5. Later add in sugar, cardamom powder, ghee and fried cashew nuts and raisins. Give a mix and allow it cook for another 1 minute and switch off the flame.

  6. Finally the bread halwa is ready to serve.
