Thambittu is a traditional, healthy and popular South Indian Sweet recipe. Usually thambittu is prepared during festivals. Using thambittu we can make diyas as an offering to god. So, the ingredients used in this recipe are dry coconuts, raw rice, peanuts, roasted channa, jaggery, sesame seeds, water as required. We can also add dry fruits like cashew nuts, raisins, almonds, dates etc.,

How to make Thambittu recipe:
Thambittu or Tambittu
Thambittu or Tambittu is a healthy and tasty festive sweet recipe.
- Mixer jar
- Pan
- Mixing bowl
- ½ cup Dry Coconuts
- 2 tbsp Sesame seeds
- ¼ cup Peanuts
- ¼ cup Roasted channa
- ½ cup Jaggery (Add according to taste)
- ½ cup Brown rice or any other rice available
- 1 tbsp Water

Firstly dry roast seasme seeds, peanuts, roasted channa, dry coconut, rice.

Ground the dry roasted ingredients into smooth powder.

Then heat a pan and add in water and jaggery. Allow it melt. Then switch off the flame.

Later add in grounded smooth powder and give a mix without any lumps.

Then grease your hands with ghee and try to make small balls.

Finally the healthy and tasty thambittu is ready to serve.
