Delicious Vegetable Pulao or Veg Pulao

Delicious Vegetable Pulao or Veg Pulao is a one pot dish made often in Indian homes. There are variety of pulao recipes are made in India such as mushroom puloa, peas pulao, chicken pulao, mutton pulao, coconut milk pulao, kashmiri pulao, paneer pulao etc., So, the ingredients used in this vegetable pulao are fresh vegetables like carrots, beans, green peas, knol knol and spices like cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf, onion, ginger garlic paste, mint leaf, coriander leaf, garam masala, oil, water as required, salt to taste. How to make Vegetable Pulao or Veg Pulao Recipe:

Firstly soak rice for 20 minutes. Then heat a pan and add in oil, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, fennel seeds, bay leaf, curry leaf, sliced onion.

Add in ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes away.

 

 

pulao3Then add in cut vegetables and saute for 5 minutes in law flame.

Take a mixer jar and add in green chilies, mint leaf, coriander leaf. Ground them into smooth paste.

 

Then add in garam masala and ground paste. Give a mix and cook for another 3 minutes in low flame.

Then add in coconut milk as required.

Homemade Coconut Milk Recipe:

Add in remaining coconut milk, if required add in water and salt to taste. Close the lid and cook till the rice cooks completely.

Vegetable Pulao or Veg Pulao

Vegetable Pulao or Veg Pulao is a healthy and simple one pot rice recipe. It goes well with any raita of your choice, gravy, chutney.

  • Pan
  • Mixer jar
  • 3 tbsp Oil or ghee
  • 4 Cloves
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 1 inch Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Fennel seeds
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 Star anise
  • 1 big Onion
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 Cup Jeera samba rice or basmati rice
  • 4 cups Coconut milk
  • ¼ cup Mint leaf and coriander leaves
  • 4 Green chilies
  • ¼ tsp Garam masala
  • Water if required
  • Salt to taste
  1. Firstly heat a pan and add in oil or ghee. Then add in all the spices, onions and fry till transparent.

  2. Then add in ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes away.

  3. Now take a mixer jar and add in mint leaf, coriander leaf, green chilies. Ground them into smooth paste.

  4. Later add in cut vegetable and saute for 5 minutes. Then add in garam masala and grounded paste. Give a mi and saute it for 2 to 3 minutes in low flame.

  5. Then add in rice, coconut water and salt to taste. Then close the lid and cook till the rice cooks completely.

  6. Finally the vegetable puloa or veg pulao is ready to serve.
