Karachi Halwa/Bombay Halwa/Corn Flour Halwa is a healthy sweet recipe with step by step pictures and instructions. Ingredients used in this recipe are corn flour, pinch of turmeric powder for coloring, cashew nuts, raisins, sugar, ghee. Halwas can be made with carrots, ash gourd, banana, apply, moon dal etc.
- Mixing bowl
- Pan
- 1 cup Corn flour
- 3 cups Water
- 2 cups Sugar
- ¼ tsp Cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- Pinch of turmeric powder (Or any food color of your choice)
- 2 tbsp Cashew nuts and raisins

Firstly take a bowl and add in cornflour, water and give a mix without any lumps.

Fry cashew nuts and raisins in oil or ghee and then keep it aside.

Now heat a pan and add in little water and sugar.

Allow it to melt completely.

Then add in mixed corn flour mix and food color of your choice.

And then give a mix without any lumps.

Now add in ghee and keep stirring until the halwa mixtures observes ghee completely.

And then add in fried nuts and cardamom powder and give a mix.

keep cooking until the halwa looks glossy and then transfer it into another pan or tray.

Allow it rest for 30 minutes or until the halwa sets completely.

Finally cut and serve halwa.
