Healthy Channa dal is a simple, tasty and healthy chutney recipes, it goes well with dosa idly, chapati, poori and even with hot boiled rice. As I said it is a simple chutney recipe, all the ingredients used in this recipe are easily available at home. Ingredients like channa dal, onion, curry leaves, garlic, coconut(optional), coriander leaves, red chili or green chili, salt as per taste and water as required.
There are variety of chutney recipes, such as coconut chutney, peanut chutney, mint chutney, tomato chutney, likewise we have different types of chutney. So, usually I use to prepare peanut chutney, coconut chutney or some times tomato chutney for idly, dosa and even for poori or chapati. So, for a change I tried this channa dal chutney, for my surprise it came out well and aromatic, flavorful and tasty. So, I taught of posting it in my blog. Healthy Channa Dal Chutney
Channa dal chutney is a simple and tasty recipe, it goes well with dosa, idly, chapati and even with poori.
- 2 tbsp Channa Dal
- 1 Medium Onion
- 1 tbsp Chopped Coconuts (Optional)
- 4 Garlic cloves
- 3 Dry or Green Chili
- Some Coriander leaves
- 2 Spring Curry leaves
- ¼ tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Oil
- Salt (As per taste)
- Water (As required)
Take a small pan and add in ¼ tsp oil, channa dal, onion, garlic, chili, curry leaves.
Take a mixer jar and add in all the fried ingredients, chopped coconuts, coriander leaves, salt as per taste and water as required. Make a paste of it.
Take a pan and add in oil, mustard seeds and curry leaves. Then add it to the grounded paste and serve.
- Coconut is optional.
