Palak Chicken or Spinach Chicken or Saag Wala Chicken or Murgh Palak Chicken

Is an authentic Indian healthy and tasty chicken curry recipe. Further,it is made with chicken, spices, and spinach leaves simmered in an onion tomato gravy. It is very simple and easy to prepare with fewer ingredients. For a rich and creamy texture even we can add cashew nut paste. It goes well with hot rice, chapati, dosa, poori, and roti.

 

Palak is known as Spinach in English. It is a leafy green vegetable, that can be eaten raw or cooked. It has got many health benefits such as being good for the eyes, supporting energy levels, helping to remove toxins from the body, helps digestion. These dishes are mild and have got a medium amount of gravy.

 

Ingredients:

Spinach, oil, fennel seeds, tomato, onion, curry leaves, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, salt to taste, spinach, mint leaves, coriander leaves, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, water as required. Further, it has a high nutritional value. It is always better to use fresh leaves because fresh spinach loses its nutritional value and storage for more than a few days.

 

Methods:

        How to make Palak Chicken:

  • Heat a pan and add in oil, fennel seeds, chopped onions, a few curry leaves, turmeric powder, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, and salt to taste.
  • Add in chopped tomatoes.
  • Close the lid and allow to cook till the tomatoes become soft.
  • Add in cleaned chicken.
  • Add in coriander powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Give a mix.
  • Add in grounded palak, mint, and coriander paste.
  • Allow it to cook till the chicken is completely cooked. Add in water as per requirement.
  • Finally, the tasty palak chicken is ready.

  • Pan
  • Mixer jar
  • ½ kgs Chicken
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Fennel seeds
  • 1 Big Chopped Onion
  • 1 Chopped Tomato
  • Few curry leaves
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • ½ tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • ⅛ tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required

For Grinding

  • 200 grams Spinach
  • ½ cup Coriander leaves
  • ½ cup Mint leaves

  2. Add in chopped tomatoes.

  3. Close the lid and allow to cook till the tomatoes becomes soft.

  4. And then add in cleaned chicken.

  5. Later add in coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala. Give a mix.

  6. Add in grounded palak, mint and coriander paste.

  7. Allow it to cook till the chicken is completely cooked. Add in water as per requirement.

  8. Finally the tasty palak chicken is ready.
