Yummy Potato fry recipe is a simple and tasty recipe. So, the ingredients used in this recipe are fresh potatoes, mustard seeds, oil, curry leaves, salt to taste, turmeric powder, hing, chili powder, garlic, channa dal. It is a simple recipe with minimal ingredients.

How to make Yummy Potato fry recipe:

Potato Fry
Firstly clean and peel the skin of the potato.

Cut the potatoes into cubes.

 

Potato Fry3
Add in all the cut potatoes into the warm water for 10 minutes and keep it aside. It helps to remove the starch from the potatoes.

Crush garlic and keep it aside.

Drain off the excess water.

 

Heat a pan and add in oil, mustard seeds, channa dal. Fry till brown.

And then add in fresh curry leaves.

And then add in crushed garlic. Fry till slightly changes its color.

Add in potatoes and give a gentle mix. And cook for 5 minutes in low flame.

Yummy Potato fry recipe

Potato fry is a yummy and simple recipe. It goes well with rasam rice, samber rice, curd rice. It is very easy to make with minimal ingredients.

  • Pan
  • 4 Big potatoes
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp Channa dal
  • Few curry leaves
  • 8 Crushed garlic
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp Chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  1. Firstly clean and cut the potatoes into cubes and keep it aside.

  2. And then add in all the cut potatoes into the water for 10 minutes. It helps to remove starch from the potatoes.

  3. And then drain off the excess water from the potatoes.

  4. Now heat a pan and add in oil, mustard seeds, channa dal, curry leaves and garlic. Fry till golden brown.

  5. Then add in cut potatoes and give a gentle mix. And cook till the potatoes are roast or slightly changes its color.

  6. Then add in chili powder and salt to taste and cook till the raw smell of the chili powder goes.

  7. Finally the yummy and simple potato fry is ready to serve.
