White Kidney beans curry or samber
White kdney beans curry or samber is a healthy and tasty samber recipe, it goes well with steamed rice, chapati and with ragi balls.
- 2 Cups White Kidney Beans
- 2 Fresh Brinjal (Optional)
- 2 Fresh Potatoes (Optional)
- 1 Tomato
- Water (As required)
- Salt (As per taste)
- Coriander leaves (Garnishing)
Grinding
- 1 tsp Tamarind pulp
- ¼ Cup Fresh Coconuts
- 1 Medium Onion
- 3 tsp Samber Powder (Adjust according to your spice level)
Seasoning
- 1 Small Onion
- Few Curry leaves
- ⅛ tsp Mustard Seeds
For Grinding
Dry roast chopped onion.
Take a mixer jar and add in roasted onion, tamarind pulp, samber powder.
Make a paste and keep it aside.
Making Samber or Curry
Take a pan and add in water and allow it boil.
Add in fresh kidney beans, chopped potatoes, chopped brinjal, one chopped tomato and salt as per taste. Cook for 10 minutes.
Then add in the grounded paste and cook for 5 to 10 minutes in low flame.
Prepare seasoning, take a small pan and add in oil, mustard seeds, chopped onion, curry leaves.
Garnish it with some fresh chopped coriander leaves.
