Tomato bath is a tasty rice variety recipe with step by step pictures and instructions are given below. We can make tomato bath recipe in different variations, it may change from one state to another state. It goes well with onion raita, gravies of your choice.
Ingredients:
Tomato, onion, oil, ghee, cloves, cinnamon sticks, stone flower, bay leaf, mint leaves, coriander leaves, jeera samba rice or basmati rice, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala.
Methods:
- Heat a pan or cooker and add in oil, ghee, bay leaf, stone flower.
- Now add in sliced onions, saute till the onions becomes transparent.
- Then add in mint leaves., kasuri methi.
- Then add in chopped tomatoes. Allow it to smash.
- Take a mixer jar and add in onion, ginger garlic, cloves, cinnamon stick, red chili powder, coriander powder. Ground it into a smooth paste.
- Grounded smooth paste.
- Now add in grounded paste, turmeric powder saute till the raw smell goes away or oil leaves the pan.
- Add in salt to taste.
- Add in green peas(frozen).
- Allow it to boil.
- Add in soaked rice. (soak for 30 minutes to 1 hour).
- Now close the lid and pressure cook it for 2 whistles.
- Finally the healthy and tasty tomato bath is ready to serve.
- Serve Tomato bath with onion raita or gravy of your choice.

- 1 Onion

- Salt to taste
- 2 cups Water

- 1 Inch Ginger
- 10 Garlic
- 3 Cloves
- 1 inch Cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp Red chili powder (Adjust according to spice level)
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
