Chapati is originated from the Indian subcontinent and staple food of India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka. Chapatis goes well with any gravy, curries, side dishes, chutney, sambar.
Chapatis are made of whole wheat flour, mixed into dough with water, oil, salt. And then cooked on a tava (flat Pan).
Ingredients Used:
Whole wheat flour, oil, water as required, salt.
Method:
How to make Soft Chapati at home:
- Take a mixing bowl and add in wheat flour, oil, salt.
- Add in required water and give a mix.
- Add in oil and knead to a soft dough.
- Finally the soft chapati dough is ready.
- Finally close the lid and allow it rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Take a small portion from the prepared chapati dough and roll it into flat bread.
- Now heat a pan and cook the rolled chapati on both sides. Apply oil or ghee on both the sides.
- We can see the small brown spots on the chapati. Then its ready to eat.
- Finally the soft chapati is ready to serve with chutney, aloo sagu, any gravy or curry of your choice.

- 2 cups Whole Wheat flour
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Oil
- ¾ cup Water (Adjust as per requirement )
