Ridge gourd Curry is a healthy and very easy, simple saber recipe. It goes well with cooked rice, chapathi, dosa, idly and even with ragi ball. Healthy Ridge gourd Curry
Ridge gourd curry is a healthy curyy recipe which goes well with cooked rice, dosa, chapati and even with ragi ball. Ingredients used in this recipe are very simple and easily available at home.
- 1 cup Ridge gourd chopped
- ¼ cup Toor dal or Masoor dal
- 2 tbsp Avarebele
- Pinch of turmeric powder
- 1 Medium Onions
- 3 to 4 Green chilies
- 7 pods Garlic
- Coriander leaves chopped (Garnishing)
For seasonins
- 1 tbsp Oil
- ¼ tsp Mustard seeds
- ⅛ tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 Small onion chopped
- 2 Red chilies
- Curry leaves few
- Pinch of Hing
Heat a pressure cooker and add in water and allow it boil.
Add in avarebele, toor dal or moong dal, chopped ridge gourd, onions, garlic, green chilies, salt, turmeric powder. Pressure cook it for 3 to 4 whistles.
Now mash them roughly with the help of the whisker or masher. Keep it aside.
Now heat a pan and add in oil, mustard seeds and cumin seeds allow it splutter, and then add in hing, red chilies, onions, curry leaves. Fry for a minute in low flame.
And then add in pressure cooked dal to the tadka pan and add in required amount of salt and water.
Allow it boil for 5 minutes in low flame.
Finally garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice, chapati, dosa or your choice.
