Mushroom Biryani or Mushroom Paneer Biryani

Mushroom Paneer Biryani is a delicious biryani recipe and the ingredients used in this recipe are jeera samba rice, green peas, onion, tomato, ginger garlic, ghee, mint and coriander leaves, cloves, cardamom, stone flower, fennel seeds, cinnamon sticks, oil, water as required. For marination we need mushroom, paneer cubes, thick curd, chili powder, coriander powder, biryani or garam masala powder, turmeric powder, kashmiri chili powder, kasuri methi, lemon juice.

Mushroom Paneer Biryani

Mushroom Paneer Biryani is a delicious biryani recipe goes well with onion raita.

  • Large bottom pan

For Marination

  • 200 grm Mushroom
  • ¼ cup Paneer cube
  • 1 tbsp Thick curd
  • 1¼ tsp Chili powder (Add according to spice level)
  • 1½ tsp Coriander powder
  • ½ tsp Kashmiri chili powder
  • ¼ tsp Biryani or Garam masala powder
  • ⅛ tsp Turmeric powder
  • Pinch of hing
  • 1 tbsp Kasuri methi
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice

For Making Biryani

  • 2 cup Jeera Samba rice
  • 1½ cup Water
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 inch Cinnamon stick
  • 2 Cardamom
  • Few stone flower
  • ¼ tsp Fennel seeds
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 Sliced big onion
  • 1 Medium tomato
  • ¼ cup Mint leaves
  • ¼ cup Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Ghee

For Marination

  1. Take a bowl and add in cleaned and cut mushroom, paneer cubes, thick curd, chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, biryani or garam masala powder, lemon juice, and kasuri methi. Give a mix and allow it marinate for 15 to 20 minutes.

For Making biryani

  1. Soak the rice for 15 to 20 minutes. Then heat a large pan and add in oil, cloves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, stone flower, fennel seeds, bay leaf.

  2. Add in sliced onions, fry till it slightly changes its color.

  3. Add in tomato and ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell goes.

  4. Now add in the marinated mushroom paneer biryani, green peas. Then close the lid and cook for another 5 minutes in low flame.

  5. Add in soaked rice, salt to taste and a required amount of water.

  6. Close the lid and cook in low flame.

  7. Finally the Mushroom paneer biryani is ready to serve with onion raita.
