Ladies finger is also known as okra, bhindi, bendikai in kannada. It is a power house of nutrients. Using Ladies finger we can make many dishes such as bhindi fry, bhindi masala, bhindi pakoda, okra curry etc. It is good for eyes and for healthy skin.
Ingredients:
Fresh ladies finger, onion, oil, mustard seeds, channa dal, urad dal, curry leaves, chili powder, tomato, salt to taste.
Ladies finger/Bhindi fry
Ladies finger is filled with nutrition's. So, lets do bhindi fry.
- ½ kg. Ladies Finger
- 1 nos. Big Onion
- 1 nos. Tomato
- 2 spring Curry leaves
- 2 tsp Chili powder/Samber powder
- 1 tbsp Coconut grated
- 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
- ½ tsp Mustard seeds
- ½ tsp Channa dal and Urad dal
- Salt (as per taste)
Take a pan or kadai add 1 tsp oil, half a tsp salt then add chopped Ladies Finger and fry till the stickiness goes.
After frying take a pan and add in Oil, Mustered seeds, Channa dal, Urad dal, Onion, Curry leaves.
Now add in Tomato, Chili powder or Samber powder and cook for 3 minutes in low flame.
Now add fried ladies finger give a mix and add salt as per taste.Cook for another 5 minutes in low flame.
Now add in grated coconut and coriander leaves.
Finally Ladies finger or Bhindi fry is ready to serve with chapati, rice.
