How to activate Yeast or yeast for baking

Yeast is used for making bread, buns, naan, kulcha, appam, bhatura etc. It is very simple and easy to active yeast. Step by step pictures and instructions are given below. So, the ingredients we need are sugar, warm milk, yeast.

Reasons why doesn’t my yeast activate:

  1. Yeast may not activate if the date is expired.
  2. If the milk or water is not warm or too hot or too cold.
  3. If sugar is not added.

How to activate Yeast or yeast for baking:

Wheat bread2
Take a bowl and add in warm milk(not too hot not too cold) and then add in sugar. Then give a mix.

Add in yeast and give a mix.

Close the lid and allow it rest for 5 minutes to activate.

Finally yeast is activated and ready to bake.

  • 1 cup Worm Milk
  • 2 tbsp Yeast
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  1. Take a bowl and add in warm milk and sugar.

  2. Then give a mix and add in yeast.

  3. And then close the lid and allow it rest for five minutes.

  4. Finally the yeast is ready for baking.
