Gobi Paratha or Cauliflower Paratha Recipe

Gobi paratha or Cauliflower paratha is a healthy and simple paratha recipe. It is one of the best breakfast recipe. It goes well with thick curd along with sugar or pickle. So, the ingredients used in this recipe are freshly grated cauliflower or gobi, chopped onions, oil, cumin seeds, curry leaves, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, freshly chopped coriander leaves.

Gobi Paratha + Thick curd with sugar.

Paratha + Any pickle of your choice.

Paratha + Any gravy.

How to make Gobi Paratha or Cauliflower Paratha:

Heat a pan and add in oil, cumin seeds. Allow it to splatter.

Add in chopped onions, curry leaves, turmeric powder.

Now add in chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt to taste.

And then add in grated cauliflower or gobi and give a mix.

Garnish it with freshly chopped coriander leaves and keep it aside.

Now take a medium size chapati dough.

Flatten the dough as shown in the image.

Now fill in gobi mixture.

Close the dough so that the filling should not come out of it.

Roll it with the help of rolling pin carefully.

Heat the pan and cook the parath on both the sides.

Now spread some oil.

  • Pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Chapathi dough
  • 2 cups Freshly grated gobi or cauliflower
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 Medium Onions
  • Chopped curry leaves
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • ½ tsp Garam masala powder
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly chopped coriander leaves (Garnishing)
  1. Firstly prepare chapathi dough and keep it aside.

  2. Heat a pan and add in oil, cumin seeds, onions, chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder and salt to taste. Then give a mix.

  3. Now add in grated gobi and give a mix.

  4. Finally garnish it with coriander leaves and keep it aside.

  5. Now take a medium size chapati dough and fill in the gobi mixture. Then close the dough so that the filling should not come out of it.

  6. Now roll them with the help of rolling pin carefully.

  7. Heat a pan and cook the parathas on both the sides by adding little oil.

  8. Finally the gobi paratha is ready to serve with curd, pickle or any gravy of your choice.
