Eggless Honey cake is a popular cake in South India. It was my all-time favorite cake. Furthermore, honey cake is a soft, light, spongy and juicy cake recipe. Honey cake is a vanilla cake soaked in honey sugar syrup. I have many sweet memories when it comes to Honey cake, when ever I visit bakery especially Iyengar bakery, I use to buy Honey cake, Dil kush, Rusk and not but least Apple cake. So, I tried this yummy Eggless Honey Cake and it really turned out super soft, juicy. Honey Cake is an easy-to-make dessert recipe that is prepared with honey, all-purpose flour. This delectable cake recipe is a must try for all the sweet lovers out there.

Ingredients:

All purpose flour, sugar, honey, baking soda, baking powder, vanilla essence, curd, water, dry fruits, jam, desiccated coconut.

Honey Syrup

Firstly prepare honey syrup by dissolving ¼ th cup sugar, 1/3 water, when the sugar melts completely and warm then add ¼ cup honey and mill well.

Adding honey in cakes adds additional moisture to a cake and it goes well with baked recipes like bread, cake, muffins.

Heating honey causes adverse effects. Cooking honey lowers its quality, and it loses essential enzymes and nutrients.

Storing:

Should be kept in air tight container and refrigerated properly.
