CHOCOLATE JOWAR CUP CAKE

 

Is a healthy and tasty cup cake recipe. The ingredients used in this recipe are jowar flour (ಜೋವರ್ ಹಿಟ್ಟು) or maida or all purpose flour (ಮೈದಾ), Thick Curd (ದಪ್ಪ ಮೊಸರು), baking powder (ಬೇಕಿಂಗ್ ಪೌಡರ್), baking soda (ಅಡಿಗೆ ಸೋಡಾ), pinch of salt (ಉಪ್ಪು), powdered sugar (ಸಕ್ಕರೆ) or jaggery (ಬೆಲ್ಲ), tutti fruit, choco chips (ಚೊಕೊ ಚಿಪ್ಸ್), chopped dry fruits (ಒಣ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳು), Water or Milk.

Chocolate Jowar Cup Cake is very to make and bake. It is one of the best evening snacks for kids as soon as they come from school. Here I have used jowar flour as a replacement for maida and jaggery for sugar.

Chocolate Jowar cup cake is a healthy and tasty cup cake recipe. It is one of the healthy cup cake recipe, with step by step instrucitons and pictures are given below.

  • ½ Cup Jowar Flour
  • ¼ Cup Thick Curd
  • ¼ Cup Oil
  • ¼ Cup Jaggery Powder
  • ⅛ tsp Baking Soda
  • ¼ tsp Baking Powder
  • Pinch of Salt
  • ⅛ tsp Vanilla essence
  • 2 tbsp Chopped dry fruits
  • 1 tbsp Choco chips
  • ¼ Cup Water or Milk
  1. Pre heat the oven under 180 degrees for 10 minutes.

  2. Take a bowl and add in curd, vanilla essence, and oil. Give a gentle mix.

  3. Now add in jowar flour, baking soda, baking powder, powdered sugar or jaggery, pinch of salt. Give a mix.

  4. Add in tutti fruit (optional), choco chips and dry fruits. Give a quick mix.

  5. Take a cup cake mold and grease them with oil or butter.

  6. Now pour the cake batter into the cup cake mold and bake them under 180 degree for 15 to 20 minutes.

  7. To check the cake is done, just insert a toothpick or paring knife or fork in to the centre of the cake to see if the cake is baked or not.
