Black Channa Usli or Sundal
Black Channa Usli or Sundal is a healthy and tasty recipe with step by step pictures and instructions are given below. Hope your all like it.
- Pan
- Pressure Cooker
- 1 cup Black channa
- ¼ cup Grated coconut
- ¼ tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Channa and urad dal
- 3 to 4 Chopped Green chilies
- 2 tsp Oil
- Pinch of turmeric
- Salt to taste
- 2 cups water
- Pinch of hing
- Few curry leaves
- 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
Soak the black channa for at least 6 to 8 hours or overnight.
Preassure cook for 4 whistles.
Heat a pan and add in oil, mustard seeds, channa and urad dal, green chilies and curry leaves. Give a mix.
Add in turmeric powder, hing, grated coconut, salt to taste.
Now add in preassure cooked black channa and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
Give a quick mix and serve hot.
- For soaking: instead of soaking for 6 to 8 hours or overnight, even we can soak in hot water for 2 hours and then pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles.
