Potato Sagu or Aloo Sagu

Potato sagu is a healthy and tasty sagu recipe with step by step pictures and instructions.It is very easy and simple to make with less ingredients. It goes well with poori, dosa, chapati, parathas. I and my son personally like to have with poori. It has got the mild flavor not too spicy. So, the ingredients used in this recipe are a boiled potatoes, sliced onions, oil, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, green chilies, curry leaves, hing, gram flour, turmeric powder, salt to taste, water as required, frozen peas, coriander leaves.

How to make Potato Sagu, Aloo Sagu Recipe:

Take a pan add in oil, mustard, cumin seeds, channa dal, urad dal.

Add in green chili, curry leaves.

Add in sliced onions, turmeric powder and salt to taste. Saute till transparent

Add in frozen peas.

Add in boiled potatoes.

Take a small bowl and make a paste of gram flour and water. Give a mix without any lumps.

Now add in enough water, salt to taste and gram flour paste. Give a mix and cook for one minute in low flame and switch of the stove.

Finally garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.

Potato Sagu, Aloo Sagu

Potato sagu is a healthy and tasty side dish recipe for poori, chapathi, dosa with step by step pictures and instructions.

  • Pan
  • 3 to 4 Boiled Potatoes
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • ½ tsp Cumin seeds
  • ¼ tsp Mustard Seeds
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • Ltlle hing
  • 1 Big sliced onion
  • 2 Green chilies
  • ¼ cup Frozen peas
  • 2 tsp Gram flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  1. Firstly boil the potatoes and peel the skin, smash them and keep it aside.

  2. Now heat a pan and add in the given ingredients and cook till onions becomes transparent.

  3. Now take a small bowl and add in gram flour and water, then give a mix and make a paste of it.

  4. Now add in frozen peas and boiled and smashed potatoes, allow it boil.

  5. And then add in gram flour paste and enough water and cook for one minute.

  6. Finally garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
