Gobi Manchurian

Gobi Manchurian is an Indo Chinese recipe or street recipe. Ingredients used in this recipe are fresh cauliflower, all purpose flour, corn flour, gram flour, rice flour, chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, kashmiri chili powder, tumeric powder, ginger garlic powder, salt to taste, oil, onions, capsicum, green chilies, curry leaves, spring onions.

How to make Gobi Manchurian Recipe:

Firstly cut and clean cauliflower and then soak them in warm water for 2 minutes and keep it aside.

Drain off the water.

Take a large bowl and add in all purpose flour(maida), corn flour, gram flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, chili powder, ginger garlic paste, kashmiri chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder and thick curd.

Add in the cleaned cauliflower and give a mix. Then marinate it for 15 minutes.

Heat a pan and add in oil,and then add in marinated cauliflower.

Fry till golden brown or crispy.

Fried Gobi or cauliflowers.

Heat a iron pan and add in oil, chopped garlic, green chilies, curry leaves. Fry till golden brown.

And then add in cut onions, capsicums. Saute them for 3 minutes in high flame.

Add in pepper powder and salt.

Add in fried cauliflower or gobi and give a mix.

Finally garnish it with spring onions or coriander leaves and serve hot with tomato sauce.

Gobi Manchurian

Gobi Manchurian is a Indo Chinese recipe or street recipe. It goes well with fried rice, tomato sauce, coffee or tea.

  • Mixing bowl
  • Large bottom pan
  • 1 Big Cauliflower
  • 2 tbsp All purpose flour or maida
  • 2 tbsp Corn flour
  • 1 tbsp Gram flour (Optional)
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • ½ tsp Garam masala
  • ⅛ tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri chili powder
  • 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 3 tbsp Tomato sauce
  • 2 Green chilies
  • Few curry leaves
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2 tbsp Spring onions
  • Oil as required
  1. Firstly clean and cut cauliflower and soak them in warm water for 2 minutes and drain off and keep it aside.

  2. Take a mixing bowl and add in all purpose flour, corn flour, gram flour(optional), chili powder, gram masala powder, kashmiri chili powder, turmeric powder, salt to taste and cut cauliflower. Then marinate it for 15 minutes.

  3. Now heat a pan and add in oil, marinated cauliflower and fry till golden brown and keep it aside.

  4. Heat a pan and add in oil, chopped garlic, green chilies, curry leaves, cut onions, capsicum and fried cauliflower. Then add in salt if required and then give a gentle mix.

  5. Finally add in tomato sauce and garish it with spring onions and serve hot with tomato sauce or with coffee or tea.
