Beetroot Fitters
Beetroot Fitters is a healthy and tasty snack recipe.
- Mixing bowl
- Frying pan
- 1 Freshly grated beetroot
- ½ Cup Soaked Channa dal
- 1 Chopped Onion
- 3 Freshly chopped green chilies
- ½ tsp Fennel seeds
- 1 tbsp Finely chopped curry leaves
- 4 pods Garlic
- ½ Inch Ginger
- ¼ cup Coriander leaves
- 2 Cloves
- 1 Inch Cinnamon stick (Optional)
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Firstly clean and soak channa dal for 1 hour. Then drain off the water and keep it aside.
Take a mixer jar and add in soaked channa dal, cloves, cinnamon, green chili, fennel seeds, garlic, ginger.
Grind them coarsely and transfer it another bowl.
In the same bowl add in grated beetroot, chopped onions, coriander leaves, curry leaves, salt to taste.
Give a mix. Wet your hand and make small balls and flatten them.
Heat a pan and add in oil.
Now deep fry them both the side in medium flame.
Finally the Beetroot Fitters are ready to serve.
