Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Frosting

  • 1 Cup All purpose Flour or Maida
  • ½ Cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • ¼ Cup Oil
  • ½ tsp Vanilla essence
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 tsp Cocoa Powder
  • ½ tsp Coffee Powder (Optional)
  • Pinch of Salt
  • ¼ Cup Hot water
  • 1 tbsp Sprinklers

For Frosting

  • ¾ Cup Whipping Cream or Powder
  • ⅓ Cup Milk or Water

For Baking a Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degree celsius for 10 minutes.

  2. Take a mixing bowl and add in eggs, vanilla essence, oil, hot water and give a mix.

  3. Add in all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, Cocoa powder, Coffee powder, pinch of salt.

  4. Give a mix.

  5. Now take a cake pan, place a parchment paper, grease them with oil and dust the sides of the pan with flour.

  6. Now bake 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes.Use a knife or metal spatula to loosen the sides of the cake from the pan. Gently peel the parchment paper from the bottom of the cake and discard.

For Sugar Syrup

  1. Take a pan and add in ¼ cup sugar and 2 tbsp Water, boil and cool them.

For Frosting

  1. Take a bowl and in whipping cream or powder, water or milk and turn the mixer to high and beat for 3 minutes. Scrape the sides and beat an additional 2 minutes on high. Beat until combined.

  2. Frost the cake with prepared frosting and serve them.
